Fred Uebele is currently an Assistant Lighting Director with the Lighting Design Group, an NYC based television lighting firm focusing on news, entertainment, and special events. His current focus is at CNN where he works on Early Start, New Day, and At This Hour amongst other shows. He is also working to build his freelance career in theatre, dance, and opera in NYC and regionally.
Originally from Naperville, IL he entered theater as an actor turning to directing and design late in his undergraduate career at the University of Illinois at Chicago. After four years spent working in the Chicago storefront theatre scene and at UIC, he went to Southern Methodist University in Dallas to complete his MFA in Stage Design. Now living in New York, Fred looks forward to breaking into the NYC theatre scene by any means necessary. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My role in this process is to collaborate with a team so that we may achieve our every goal in creating a memorable and stirring piece of theater. While the end result is essential, I'm committed to making sure the way there is just as satisfying when all is said and done. |
